Entomophagy Recipe Introduction – Bee’s Root Spring Roll

Recipe

Materials

・Rice paper
・Honeycomb (in large quantities)
・Vegetables (optional)
・Sweet chili sauce (or not)

how to make

Soak the rice paper in hot water at about 40 degrees Celsius. I heard that the best time is about 40 seconds, but if it becomes soft and fluffy, it’s OK.
Spread out the rice paper. If there is too much water at this time, the taste of the beechnuts will be diminished, so the key to making it tasty is to drain the water thoroughly.
Add a lot of beechnuts. Put the vegetables on the rice paper as you like.
Roll up the rice paper. The key is to fold the bottom, then the right and left, and finally the top.
The order of rolling is to fold over the bottom, then the left and right, and finally the top.

This is a super easy to make and super delicious “Bee’s Root Spring Roll”.
Sakimura-san made them for me while I was working, and they looked so good that I couldn’t wait to start eating them while he was preparing for the video.(*´ω`*)

Super easy to make!

■Deliciousness: ★★★★★
It’s full of beechnuts, so it’s super good!

■Ease of eating: ★★★★★
It’s wrapped in rice paper, so you can only see a hint of the beehives. It’s easy to eat, even for people like me who are not insect-eating critics and have a low level of insect-eating.
